About the Explorer

With a B.S. in Communication Studies from NYU, she worked in film production for two years, then left the industry when she realized she was a writer first and foremost.

Rose has been writing since her awesome junior high school teacher made English exciting.  Her first story was inspired by a story within a book written by Christopher Pike about an author whose muse wanted to receive recognition and when refused, suffered the consequences.

Every since then, she has been writing fantasy, science fiction, and variations of real life situations embellished for entertainment purposes.  She enjoys reading fantasy, literary fiction, anything written by Stephen King, science fiction, and various non-fiction.

She is a Dominican-American (First generation) Williamsburg, Brooklyn native and currently resides there.  She doesn’t hate the hipsters because the new restaurants and veggie friendly places are nice.

Being a lover of horror films, she also has a horror blog – The Horror Thrill Factor – you can check out.

    Hello Rose,

I am a caricaturist – but I love to read, so I often find myself on blogs by writers.
I wish you luck with MFA. I see that we’ve got similar interests in movies and books:)

    Warm Regards,
    Shafali

  2. Nice to meet a Fellow NYU grad. I see we have similar interests and being that I stumbled across your blog during NanoWriMo that makes it even all the better. Good Luck with your MFA!

How goes it with NanoWriMo? I’ve been meaning to post about it but I’ve been procrastinating like crazy. I’m behind by 20K as I write this (instead of writing my novel) and am hoping for the best. Good luck on your novel!! :)
